Trifam is a social enterprise that is
established with the objectives of: to create an open platform that provides a
marketplace of flexible skilled job opportunities for Skills Providers (Persons
with Disabilities and Caregivers), so as to provide more pathways to employment,
to create meaningful interactions between Jobs Providers and PWDs that will
help to evolve societal attitudes towards PWDs, allowing the society to see the
abilities of our PWDs rather than their disabilities, to increase awareness of
inclusive hiring and support our nation’s movement to promote fair employment
practices and workplace diversity.
Trifam's big debut at the Youth Forum.
With the objective to establish a right online
skills marketplace, Trifam not only take cares of the interests of Skills
Providers but fundamentally fulfil the interests of Jobs Providers. Trifam
offers more sustainable jobs and redesigned GIGs to Skills Providers. This allows
Skills Providers to earn additional income that contribute towards their
financial self-reliance and provide more meaningful employment that can uncover
their passion and interests. Trifam also provides Additional Source of Talent
and Manpower Pool for Job Providers. Trifam offers one-Stop HR Solution for
Jobs Providers, End to End Solution to support Job Providers in Hiring Skills
Providers (From Recruitment - Hiring - Grant Application - Work Place
Modifications – Training).
As Trifam aims to reach out to Skills Providers
and Jobs Providers, effectively matching needs to supply based on relevance,
Trifam have to embrace technology in its marketing and outreach efforts. Trifam
should use search engine marketing to help them achieve their objectives. With
search engine marketing, Skills Providers can browse for the jobs that they are
interested faster and Jobs Providers can search for suitable Skills Providers
more effectively. Trifam can create effective search engine marketing by
providing updated job information, Updated links for its users and updated
resources. In search engine marketing, search engine optimisation is very
crucial. Trifam have to use suitable key words such as “Inclusive employment,
PWD for PWD initiative, Abilities and not Disability” to attract users to visit
their link and platform.
It takes everyone a small action to make
Singapore more inclusive, would search engine marketing make you do it? What
kind of resources and contents do you expect Trifam to provide? Sound Off!
Other than optimizing the website as the article said, I believe using paid SEM services such as Google Adword and Google Adsense are important to help both Jobs and Skills provides find each other and what they need.
ReplyDeleteAh, that's very true. I'm sure Trifam would love to hear that.
DeleteGood read! Thks for sharing:) looking forward to your next post
ReplyDeleteMost Welcome Richard. I will keep you posted on any Trifam updates.
DeleteI am sure search engine optimization would make Trifam more visible to people searching for jobs. However, I believe the impact might too small to make a lasting change on Singapore. Other ways of promotion such as advertisements at bus stops and mrt stations may bring more awareness to Trifam.
ReplyDeleteI would expect Trifam to have information on how hiring PWDs would be beneficial to a company
That's a good suggestion. I will bring that up to Trifam and, let you know what they say.
DeleteWith PWDs being more educated, do you think SEO will help them?
ReplyDeleteI think it might but like everything else in life, motivation has to come from within. SEO will not help anyone if they are unwilling to help themselves.
DeleteHey Naren, may I know what are some suggestions you may have for Trifam to assist them in SEO optimisation?
ReplyDeletePut many keywords like disabled, handicap, para, job, career etc.
DeleteTouchy title and topic you have there. Haha. Anyways...
ReplyDeleteSEO will only help to a certain extent. What Trifam should also try to do, is to help in educating the public and changing perspectives about people with varying degrees of disabilities by using SEO and a mix of digital marketing tools. Excluding them is so deeply ingrained in our culture and society that I think nobody dares to say anything much about it. While I can see that Trifam tries to help them by building up their skills and talents, we need to recognise them for their own talents and what they can bring to the business, jobs, groups and also, back to the society.
Indeed Mel. :) I agree, Trifam should change perspectives about being disabled. Thanks for your insightful comment.
DeleteTrifam wants to be an unique platform that is driven by PWD for PWD to transform Singapore public attitudes and perceptions of PWDs. Also, Trifam wants to drive meaningful interactions between PWDs, caregivers and inclusive employers to provide additional employment opportunities. How do you think search engine optimisation can assist Trifam in achieving this?
ReplyDeleteIt can pop up when caregivers type in words like handicap, disable, special, career, job etc.
